An old photo just for fun and to remind Kansas City of our glory days . . .
Clearly, an upcoming vacancy from Legislator Theresa Garza Ruiz is going to make things REALLY interesting. And now there's an opportunity to connect the County's future with old school victories . . .
An insider says of White:
"Somebody with that much love, that much notoriety . . . It's obvious that he not only will COMPLETELY change the dynamics of the County. But look at him to really lead on issues where the County needs a big name endorsement."
Think Transit.
Surprise . . . Frank White would be running as a Republican from his Lee's Summit address.
And, we agree, word of this this completely changes Jackson County politics.

ReplyDeleteHe'll soon be a forgotten legend. A black Republican in Lee's Summit. HA! He'll get 8 votes.
ReplyDeleteLee's Summit does not want to become the Country Club Plaza.
well at least he ain't a liberal democrat cocksukin nigger!
ReplyDeletegood one tony, frank will run right after president hillary clinton is sworn in
ReplyDeleteGuess the roofing gig isn't working out so well. Maybe if he were a Mexican
ReplyDeleteNo Better way to screw over the Royals than to be a Jackson Co. legislator overlooking the Jackson Co. Sports Complex. Gonna get ugly.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck Frank!
ReplyDeleteWhen did he move to lees summit? Pretty sure he lived in joco for year's.
ReplyDeleteJust what KC needs, another jig in politics. How's that working for ya now??
ReplyDeleteWill George Brett fill in for Calvin?
ReplyDeleteThat would be sexy.
The campaign money will come from Ben Sharp a developer who is tied to the Anti-Immigrant movement.
ReplyDeleteI guess it beats selling siding.
ReplyDelete6/19/13, 12:16 PM That is an at-large seat, so he will be running countywide.
ReplyDeleteAgainst, Sherwood Smith who is soon to retire from the head of Local 42's political action committee.
I like the chances of anybody but Mike. He's the one who is really going to be hurting when this County property mess hits the fan. The guy just hasn't done a good job and he's going to feel it at the ballot box. And when his support at home dries up. The Missouri elected officials like Claire McCaskill and Jay Nixon will have no use for him.
ReplyDeleteHope he enjoys his free tickets now. Because they will not last.
White has been talking to people about running for Garza's open seat and not County Executive.
ReplyDeleteHey Tkc, what the hell did you do with glazer?? If you fired him, well, that's fucked-up!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Frank White can whip these guys into shape. He's done more than any of them to win in Jackson County.
ReplyDeleteWhat are his views on unsolicited bulk e-mail?
ReplyDeleteIf Frank is elected, dirty political tactics get thrown OUT.
ReplyDeleteUncle Tom
ReplyDeleteSo you are saying that a Jay Nixon contributor who was given a license bureau even though he "hates Mexicans" will turn around and spend some of that money on electing "one of the good ones" as a Republican?
ReplyDeleteNo wonder the Democrats are so fucked up.
Frank has lived in Lees Summit for years and is a great guy. He lives down the street from me. Better than the crooks we have in there now.
ReplyDeleteI agree.the man has always been a class act.
ReplyDeleteTime to clean up the County. Go Frank!
ReplyDelete- Fan since '78
Damn, even Frank gets the raw eggs on here, thought it was just Glazer. You guys hate everyone.
ReplyDeleteHe has been nothing but a big baby throughout the fued with the royals. Suck it up and get over it Frank!
ReplyDelete10:47 it's apparent that he's gotten over it with the Royals, working on something new.
ReplyDeleteSlow your roll man. I for one will actually look at local politics because of this.
Is it true Frank White hired Moreno to research Sherwood Smith? That is bound to make Sherwood's blood boil.
ReplyDeleteWhite always seemed like a very intelligent guy. I'm not surprised he's a Republican.
ReplyDeleteSurprise? A lot of our dumb millionaire athletes are Republicans!
ReplyDeleteLee's summit will never be the Country Club Plaza. They should be so lucky.
