Kansas City fears a spike in violence this Summer and a recent message sent out via social media puts this sordid subject on blast.
To wit . . .
A KANSAS CITY FAITH COMMUNITY CALLS FOR AN EMERGENCY MEETING ON THE TOPIC OF SUMMER YOUTH VIOLENCE THIS WEEK!!!
Community-United Kc and Rev. Tony Caldwell seem to be behind this effort.
Remember that not so long ago Rev. Caldwell camped out on a roof to raise awareness and support for Kansas City's homeless.
Now this effort seems focused on creating more community discussion on the topic of local violence.

TKC dares not accuse a church of swagger-jacking and obviously, imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
The poster also notes that "All Ideals are Needed" which may or may not be a typo. The Internets and text messaging have caused TKC to forget every grammar rule I never really understood in the first place.

Again, I'm not sure that's a typo and I make a lot of typos. Nevertheless, I don't want anyone's life to be last.

And then realize that a great many community activists aren't comforted by the recent decline in the local homicide rate and instead fear a Kansas City murder spike as the warm weather approaches.

The homeless camp out earned a great deal of press but it took a long time. Wondering if the emergency explosion tactics might be to rushed.

ReplyDeleteOnce again, these worthless parents think it's the responsibility of the city to provide something for these kids to do. (We are not the babysitters of pre-teens and teens). I have 2 teenagers, and I would never assume the city should be spending money to entertain my kids. Where in the world did these ideas come from? It is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteIf weed was legal then young black men and women would be able to work the fields. The weed would be taxed and help pay their salaries, they could smoke weed while they worked, and they would be off the street and gainfully employed. End of problem!

ReplyDeleteThe problem in the urban community is ignorance. Poorly raised kids. Small paychecks... The work ethic just isn't there and clearly the KC schools aren't centered on providing money making job skills to their scholars. I doubt union teachers even know how to do that.
Schools would be better giving kids the opportunity to get a government VOUCHER their senior year to apprentice in a company, or continue in college prep. They won't do that though... the union would never let them.
I got a ideal, why don't all NIGGERS just go fuck themselves??

Why doesn't the government deduct $10 a month from their welfare and provide a box of condoms for them. Pass legislation that if a man has more than 2 unwed babymothers he gets sterilized.

A place of people caught in the 60"s with no push to move forward. Please, let us not represent Kansas City with so much country, hick, tone. Our city is really on the edge of greatness, people are moving here, businesses are flourishing, people from diverse places in America fear coming to KC because of the close-mind thinking and, the fear that it is so "country" and a cow town. Please, the world-wide web is not a place to represent "our" city with so much vulgar and indecent words. Love you all, Love my city EK.
