TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! CRITICS OF KANSAS CITY HEALTH CARE LEVY RAISE COMPLAINTS OVER EXORBITANT EXECUTIVE COMPENSATION!!!
Kansas City is set to vote on the Health Care Levy in April. It's one of those "white hat" issues that no one is supposed to criticize but there's more to it than just making sure hobos don't die on the street - Which is a noble cause when all is said and done.
To wit . . .
CRITICS OF THE KANSAS CITY HEALTH CARE LEVY COMPLAIN ABOUT THE EXORBITANT EXECUTIVE SALARIES OF ORGANIZATIONS THAT WOULD BENEFIT FROM THE TAX!!!
Let's take a look:
President/CEO of Truman Medical Centers John Bluford is rumored to be "making around $1.3 million in 2009 but that salary has been scaled back to around a paltry $900K."
TKC thought this cutback might be due to the recession . . . Actually, AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS tell us that it has more to do with "so many complaints" about the salary arising.
And then . . .
Another BRILLIANT TKC TIPSTER informs us that Frank Ellis CEO Swope Community Enterprises is no slouch when it comes to a big money medical industrial complex payday.
"Two years ago Ellis made $918k. He works less than 40 hours per week and cannot be found on Fridays."
And so . . .
ASKING KANSAS CITY TAXPAYERS TO PONY UP BIG MONEY FOR THESE LUXURY HEALTHCARE SALARIES IS DISGRACEFUL AND AGAINST THE SPIRIT OF GOODWILL THAT BACKS THE HEALTH LEVY!!!
As always, the last word belongs to an AWESOME TKC TIPSTER . . .
"Think about this: Medicare reimbursements down, insurance costs up, doctors reimbursements down, Obamacare numbers coming out showing increases in costs of healthcare instead of decreases and we've got million dollar CEOS working cushy hours at taxpayer supported facilities. Kansas City has become New Orleans without the French Quarter or other cool stuff."
Developing . . .

ReplyDeleteDamn.
SHAME.
Frank Ellis runs a NON-PROFIT whose mission is to care for the less advantaged.
ReplyDeleteAnd BTW: you forgot to ADD IN his "annual bonus", which will brings his compensation to over $1 million.
Nice part-time gig "helping the needy".
Howdy! Τhis is kind of off topic but I need some hеlρ fгоm аn establishеd blog.
ReplyDeleteIs it νerу hard to ѕеt up уour own blog?
I'm not very techincal but I can figure things out pretty quick. I'm thinking about setting uр my own but I'm not sure where to start. Do you have any points or suggestions? Thank you click through the following web page
Joe Flacco just signed for $120 million.
ReplyDeleteDriven through Baltimore lately?
We've lost all touch with reality in this nation.
That's capitalism, folks. Let the holy free market decide all. Greed is good.
ReplyDeleteGreed ain't that fuckin good, I had to work my ass off fuckin people out of money back in the 80's. These fuckers probably have golf scores in the 70s.
ReplyDeleteAre these guys friends with Mayor Sly James?
ReplyDeleteMaybe that's why nobody mentions their salaries.
Your sources are off on this one as usual. Both of those guys make a whole lot more than that. frank Ellis' retirement compensation plan is well over a million. But their salaries are competitive to what other hospital executives make. But their salaries are set by the board.
ReplyDeleteWhy would anyone vote for this tax? We are all paying Obamacare taxes now so let Barry take care of the po folk with an Obamacare policy.
ReplyDeleteScumbags.
ReplyDeleteDon't vote for the tax. Time to teach these leaches a lesson.
These fucking NIGGERS aren't worth a fraction of those salaries. This is a travesty on the people that fund those organizations and work there for a helluva lot less.
ReplyDeleteThe funny thing is that these guys make more money than you N-word guy and your whole miserable family.
ReplyDeleteSleep well on that and think about your wasted life. While they are making big money you are doing nothing but leaving hateful comments on the internet.
Bwhahahaahahahahhaahahaha!
and the politicians blame the insurance companies.... If people know what all the hospital corporations were pulling and their insurance wasn't paying they'd be burning down hospitals.
ReplyDeleteHow much do the doctors employed by TMC or hired by TMC make? There's some high costs there too, but nobody is bitching about the million ton elephant in this room.
ReplyDeletemaybe because doctors do something besides play golf. At least doctors are supposed to treat their patients.
ReplyDeleteThese suckers just take up air and money.
That's correct 10:54, YOU don't know shit from Shinola. My "wasted life" is much greater than your pitiful existence, loving NIGGERS and all that they do for/to you. If money were the only measurement, I'm far ahead of you asshole, that's one fact I'm positive of. The second is, NIGGERS and YOU are worthless.
ReplyDeletekc is so corrupt. Even when people are stealing in plain sight it's called a "levy" and not theft.
ReplyDeleteIf all of KC gets free healthcare. Then we should approve the tax.
ReplyDeleteNot so?
Then forget it.
Don't play up the class warfare TKC. Maybe these guys are paid a bit too much but a previous commenter said that their compensation was competitive with other hospital CEOS. That makes sense. In the long run this health levy will make KC a better place and will offer long term care for poor people. That's can't be a bad thing if you think about it Tony.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget the State Senator who cut a deal with TMC to be the administrator for the TMC-E. He shammed a bunch to get this cozy job he was not even qualified.
ReplyDeletehealthcare is a right. Don't be such cheapskates KC.

ReplyDelete"a bit too much"....WTF!!!!
you are clearly an enabler for dysfunction!
As most of these commentators have pointed out already, our current healthcare system is NOT about ensuring a healthy populace and aiding those who struggle to afford care, it IS about making money, lots of money, as much money as you can at the expense of others.
What's the status of the missing $15K?????
ReplyDeleteGone, gone and gone.
ReplyDeleteHow much do hospital CEOs make in all those dirty commie countries with socialized healthcare?
ReplyDeleteYou know, the 37 countries in the world with better health, cheaper healthcare than we have here.
Capitalism is the American Way!!!!
It says so in the Constitution!!!!
Right next to where it says no UNIONS!!
FREEEEEEEEEEEEDOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!
DREAMERS..........
ReplyDeleteHealth care levy will be passed by 60% margin. Nobody in KC cares enough to check their facts. This is the real shame of KCMO.
ReplyDeleteThis kind of waste is why there is no money for basic services and the middle class keeps abandoning KCMO. Let the Feds pay for healthcare, they are taxing us for it!!! Shame on Bluford!!!!!
ReplyDelete$WHAT $15?
ReplyDeleteAsked and answered!
Blumford does a great job running TMC and getting grants from the feds and private corporations to improve the hospital beyond the KC property tax funding.
ReplyDeleteIt's a Level 1 Trauma Center and provides great care to residents and non-resident of KC alike.
As for what the doctors are paid, why are you hating on them? They spend years in school and incur thousands of dollars in debt, just to become a doctor. We're out living our lives while they are hitting the books, and now to think we deserve to tell them how much they can make? I'd rather not have the next surgeon cutting on me worried about how he's going to meet next month's bills.
6:34 AM is actually Bluford himself (deliberately misspelling his name).
ReplyDeleteAnd I note that no one actually had the gall to even try to defend Frank Ellis.
All you have to do is download the IRS 990 for either TMC or Swope Community Enterprises to check out the top salaries at either organization. Illuminating. Elli? Please.
