Anything Cathy Nugent touches is dead... this is just a chance for her to try and make some money. Annie Presley as a strategist? Her claim to fame is baking pies for the Hall family and being Kit Bond's port of call in KC... Two hacks arguing in public space, classic.

This morning I hear Mayor James on KMBZ say that politics would not hinder Kansas City's chances.
I ask Is Everyone in Kansas City insane?
I cannot dispute you facts but I question your conclusions however the GOP would be as insane as Kansas Citians to holed the convention here.
Facts:
Cleaver is hated in Dc except by the Black Caucus.
He is considered a mental midget
McCaskill is hated by the GOP
Our City Council passed app x 12 Bush Bashing resolutions. The party remembers and there is a price to pay.
Kansas city is despised in the State legislature for the same reasons.
Even with a Democrat governor we have been froze out in Jeff city the last 4 years because of the Democrats politics in our city.
John Sharp and Melba Curls are not respected in Jeff City
Our wish list is way too long
We hire Democrat Lobbyist (who the hell are they to lobby?)
The Kansas City Star has not written a pro GOP article in three Decades. At least The New York Times will occasionally slip up.
Politics has nothing to do with it? Insanity. It has everything to do with it and Kansas City and The Star must pay for their sins.
In Tampa last year I did not read one anti GOP story during the convention. If the convention were here The GOP would be bashed by The Star.
There were 11 of us tea par tiers who attended, we Had a motor home as some of us were from Ky, Tenn, SC and Missouri. We had a house at Indian Rock Beach, We arrived Sunday Morning. Remember the wind and the rain? We didn't want to go coast side Sunday so we parked the RV near the Convention Center. The RV was rocking and rolling when a knock was to the door. It was the Police telling us the city had released their block of rooms and they would be happy to take us to a hotel where we could ride out Sunday Night at no charge. If you think Kansas City would do that you are drinking something very strong.
The GOP would be INSANE to come to KC.
