KCTV5: KANSAS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS PAY BIG MONEY FOR SUPERINTENDENT GREEN!!! NEW DISTRICT BOSS EARNS QUARTER MIL SALARY WITH UP TO $150K IN BONUS CASH!!!
Kansas City "scholars" should learn an important lesson from the new KCPS Superintendent . . . Staying in school and getting a doctorate could lead to a big cash award some day.
To wit:
IT'S KIND OF IRONIC (I THINK) THAT DR. STEPHEN GREEN IS MAKING A TON OF GREEN FOR HIS NEW GIG AS SUPERINTENDENT OF KANSAS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS!!!
Check the latest KCTV5 news item to see how much . . . Here's a peek:
"The Kansas City School Board has released Superintendent Stephen Green's 11 page, new contract.
Green's base annual salary will be $250,000. He can receive up to $150,000 in incentives based on student performance and student enrollment."
Not bad for a beleaguered and broke-ass school district . . . And, again, a reminder for local students to stay in school.
Holy Shit!!! He should start at a $1 salary and should be based upon performance rather than a bonus based on performance. Just more wasted money. Here's an idea.... Give a $1.00 bonus for every student that graduates. Then talk $$$,$$$.
ReplyDelete"Green's contract also includes a provision about receiving police protection. Detailing in writing when and how the superintendent will receive police protection isn't typically found in Kansas City superintendents' contracts."
ReplyDeleteGreat, now we have to worry about officers getting pulled off the street to guard the Schoolboard Superintendent and his family. Such a waste.
Why would he need police protection when he is at the school board building? The school district already has armed security that patrol the schools and district facilities.
ReplyDeleteI hope that wasted police protection would cease at the state line considering he lives in Basehor KS. Knowing the school district and city they'll probably pay Basehor KS money to watch his house and guard him in their city too.
How can you make this ridiculous amount of money, supervising a school district that's not even accredited by the State of Missouri???? What the fuck is going on here??
ReplyDeleteHe should start at a $1.
ReplyDeleteNow that's something a truly stupid person would write. Why are people so stupid?
I guess you folks don't understand how much executives make. Considering the average teacher's pay is between 40-50k, that is only around 5 times that. Those bailed out banks were paying 10 times Greens salary in bonuses and they lost money for their companies.
ReplyDeleteUniversity Academy's Superintendent makes 200k and that's only one school. If you want to be shocked, check out what the administration at ACE is being paid. Well over a half of a million is paid before you even get to the principal's salary.
Looks like Occupy KC has a place to camp out. Thanks KC taxpayers...ha ha ha
ReplyDeleteOn the subject of salaries and his police protection in the contract, the salaries of 6 KCMO Police Officers who make 39K a year still wouldn't equal his yearly salary.
ReplyDeleteAverage teacher pay is also more than a police officer's.
Just saying.
That's what, $10 a head? I guess it beats throwing keggers.....
ReplyDelete@7:11- where would one find that info?
ReplyDeleteThis looks like something the Chamber of Commerce swells would come up with. Their idea is if you pay someone alot of money, that makes them competent, Most of us would look at that the other way around and it's hardly necessary to pay Green lots of money to attract and retain him. He's already here with no other prospects.
ReplyDeleteJust keep spending money for utter failure. Any parent with any real interest in their children's eduation or future should be long gone.
