Recently, I stumbled upon a KICK-ASS Kansas City song.

Background . . . He's one of the favorite musicians of Mayor Sly James, he even composed a tune for the Mayor Sly James Campaign.
Quick track review . . . I imagine that this is what life sounds like for people who can afford bottle service. It's a uptempo number with almost a bit of a techno rhythm and a really great R&B hook. Of course, there's some next level rapping that reveals Kemet's musical virtuosity.
THIS IS EXCELLENT GENRE DEFYING KANSAS CITY MUSIC THAT'S DEFINITELY WORTH A LISTEN!!!
Obviously, when ever I post most music on this blog there's nothing but hateration from old white dudes with bad style who don't dance . . . But don't let that dissuade. Kemet puts together a great track that will hopefully power a good Kansas City weekend.

ReplyDeleteJust another looped waste of time. These "songs" are comprised of LOOPS. Any person that can use a mouse & drag and drop can do this. This is NOT talent. It's bad poetry set to looped (pre recorded) music. The loops are NOT music that Kemet composed. He bought or took them. Every nig with access to Acid Pro is a potential new star. Absolutely pathetic.
ReplyDelete9:35 - no I actually did compose every piece of this song. Not only that I but I RECORDED, mixed and mastered the song. I have never used Acid Pro..(that's laughable). I've been making music since I was 13.
