TKC TOLD YOU SO!!! TAKE A LOOK: ALL THE KCPD TOP COP CANDIDATES ARE PEOPLE OF COLOR FROM KANSAS CITY, MO!!!

Check the names of the TOP CANDIDATES FOR KCPD CHIEF released by the Police board today . ..

KCPD Deputy Chief Darryl Forté

KCPD Deputy Chief Kevin Masters

Retired KCPD Deputy Chief Vincent Ortega

Fayetteville, N.C., Chief of Police Thomas Bergamine

Rochester, N.Y., Executive Deputy Chief George E. Markert.

Community sentiment and a rather easy analysis . . .

NEVER BEFORE HAS IT BEEN SO OBVIOUS THAT KANSAS CITY IS LOOKING FOR PEOPLE FROM OUTSIDE WHO DO NOT HAVE A CONNECTION TO THE LOCAL, MINORITY COMMUNITY!!!

Thankfully, the top three still outshine the competition by far and ANY OF THEM would make a fine KCPD Police Chief . . . But this move to look at outsiders isn't just insulting, it's horrible public relations at a time when local leaders are eager to work with the KCPD and establish a better working relationship among minority communities . . . The out of town candidates sets that effort backward . . . And TKC isn't the only person who says as much.

Oct 6th is when this thing FINALLY gets put in front of the public at a heretofore undisclosed location where the public might be as hot as Leelee Sobieski in a police uniform.

DEVELOPING . . .

  4. Here's is a grand idea: Why don't we pick the next police chief on their qualifications and not their skin color.

  5. Hey asshole, that's what Tony's saying. If we did that then all of the real choices are either black or hispanic.

    Sometimes YOU PEOPLE are slow.

  6. YOU PEOPLE! That's racist!

  7. KC White Guy9/8/11, 1:25 PM

I agree. The anti-white sentiment is outrageous.

But seriously, have you ever met Darryl, Tony?

I doubt he would give you the time of day but he is extremely qualified and he would make a good chief regardless of so much petty politics.

  8. I understand the need for a black police chief. A black police chief could better connect with the criminals, most of whom are black.

  9. Will the new police chief enforce the laws, such as those concerning illegal immigrants, or will he just ignore laws he doesn't like?

  10. Hire from the OUTSIDE KCPS needs real change.

    ReplyDelete
  11. The chief selection wont make much difference unless the Cops get off their ass and start working.

  12. The shift of control of KCPD has been going to the brownies for some time, beginning with copious affirmative action promotions decades ago.

We may now expect the PD to now be as well as the Skuul Distrik.

    Move while you can.

Wow, ignorance at its best. So you're assuming the chief is the one out there in the field answering calls or handling investigations? Yeah Alvin Brooks also thought that was what the violent crimes unit needed was more minority detectives. Hmmm still no increase in the homicide clearance rate. Actually a decrease...

  19. Stay out of KCMO. Don't spend money in KCMO. Let them just stew in their own dogfood juices.

  20. What colors? Brown, white, pink, purple, other?

  21. Who are the "leadedrs who are working to establish a better raltionship between the PD and the black community"?
The only folks you ever hear from are the same old '60s duds who have bilked the city and screwed east side residents for years. And all you ever hear from them is how everyone's to blame for the disaster of the east side except for them. The revs are yelling "it's their turn" for a black police chief.
Same old people; same old message; same old disappearing tax money; and the same old results, NONE.
You'd think that having two people on the east side murdered every week of the year would get people to change what they've been doing for decades, but you would be wrong. That free money is just too good a deal.
Anybody at city hall have the guts to break this cycle? Anybody?

  22. Just let the "coloreds" have all of Kansas City. Maybe even a new name? How about Colored City?? or Color-ado?? Maybe even Nigeria!!!
    You all can have it....enjoy.

  23. This could be the best or the worst moment ever for the KC PD. It's up to us.

  28. Actually of course, what currently passes for leadership in the black community has ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION TO THE MINORITY COMMUNITY. Their interest for decades has been only their own financial well-being and having their snouts in the public trough. Look around the east side and see all they've accomplished. And even now, every week of the year, at least two residents of the east side die in homicides. And the same old names, that we'd all recognize, show up over and over again, especially whenever more taxpayer money gets put on the table.
The elected and appointed officials in this town need to reach deep inside and find the courage to do the right thing. Provide leadership, set priorities, demand accountability, and reach out to residents who really are working for the good of the community and the benefit of neighborhoods.
The status quo is killing us. It has to change.

  29. Fuck Kansas City and KCPD.

  31. I could not respect the police chief, or police, if Ortega is picked. If he is willing to lie during political campaigns for personal gain, what is to keep him from lying about evidence, etc. in order to convict people? And, even if he does not testify personally, his selection would send a message: lying is good. No, can't have that.

    KCPD will never have respect.
Kansas City is 3rd most dangerous city in the USA, Thats the only respect Kansas City will get.

  34. Question? Are thes candidates being asked how they would have handled the increase in Urban crime differently than we currently do and are they giving a no BS answer? Maybe we need someone outside if the answer to my question is yes and no. The people here haven't come up with any solutions have they?

    ReplyDelete
  35. And the Police Department haven't come up with any solutions have they?

  36. If Vince Ortega will lie to gain political support, what else will he lie for?

  37. The chick in the pic looks ridiculous. Nobody could get out of the station wearing a duty belt like that.

  38. Not only that but the girl in the pick is not FAT enough to be a female KCPD officer.
