I'm tired of hearing about K-PAC so we're gonna take a quick break for a day . . . The LATEST & AWESOME boycott is going quite well . . . I only noticed a bunch of suckers by the building as I refused to go inside . . . We'll have more on this monstrosity later but I just wanted to provide a quick look at yesterday's parade of d-bags who accept mainstream media propaganda and don't realize that taxpayers are footing the bill to support the project despite the best efforts of PR shills . . .
A nice shot of Kansas City's El Grupo Folklorico Atotonilco from some of the Latinos who they did let into the building.
Quick TKC Theory . . . The only people defending this place are getting paid to do so . . . Sadly, blogging comments with tax breaks from Kansas City is just another example that I'm right.
Developing . . .
There was a HUGE crowd at this great facility yesterday, T, and the reason you can't see anyone there from your house today is because it's CLOSED.
ReplyDeleteYour boycott idea is just another blogger's joke.
No, I didn't go because Tony said so. And because my car broke down.
ReplyDelete"I just wanted to provide a quick look at yesterday's parade of d-bags who accept mainstream media propaganda and don't realize that taxpayers are footing the bill to support the project despite the best efforts of PR shills . . ."
ReplyDeleteSo, other than the garage, which is not reserved just for the Kauffman, how are taxpayers footing the bill to support the project?
the tax deductible donations.
ReplyDeleteAmount Tony would have spent at KPAC before his boycott -- $0
ReplyDeleteAmount Tony spent at P&L prior to his boycott -- $0
Amount spent at both places after Tony's boycott -- $0
Impact of Tony's "awesome" boycott on KPAC, P&L or anything -- $0
Wow, great plan T!

If somehow ta-deductible contributions have suddenly become a bad thing, an awful lot of really outstanding not-for-profits who do a great deal of good work are going to have to close their doors.
ReplyDeleteOr do we have to run each organization by TKC to see if he approves?
Whing just isn't very pretty.
-blogging comments with tax breaks from Kansas City is just another example that I'm right.-
ReplyDeleteSaid the guy who lives for free in his mom's home that had its property tax abated for years.
Boycott? What a joke. There were thousands there yesterday. So much for your influence.
ReplyDelete7:21: I've seen a lot of really stupid comments on this blog (including from the guy who wants to fuck everything including cats and dogs in their asses and cum on their faces), but yours is by far the most stupid.
ReplyDeleteBy your reckoning, everything that merits a tax-deductible contribution, including the Salvation Army, Goodwill, the SPCA, etc. is "taxpayers footing the bill."
You've set a new standard for stupid. Let's see how long your record holds.
Over 50,000 visitors on Sunday is a "boycott"?
ReplyDelete7:21, are you referring to the donation money that was already taxed once as income tax before the individual/business made their donation?
ReplyDeleteTypical KC elite project. This is NOT for the masses. The whole thing just illustrates that the rich are getting RICHER and the rest of us........
ReplyDelete..and tickets are NOT tax deducitble.
ReplyDeleteI put this up before..the Center has NO tax subsidy..none..nada, and I challenge you to prove me wrong. As for the "suckers" who gave up their Sunday afternoon in the rain to view this great project, they don't know who you are or care. THEY voted with their FEET to support the Kauffman Center, and, from what I understand, there's a big translation in ticket sales for the venues.
Do what you want..THIS will be where the action is.
"Unlike other performance art centers, the Kauffman Center is privately funded (with the exception of the parking garage, which is on land owned by the city)."
ReplyDelete-Typical KC elite project. This is NOT for the masses-
ReplyDeleteHow so? I've already bought tickets to some events. They were cheaper than seeing a football game or nascar event.
"Quick TKC Theory . . . The only people defending this place are getting paid to do so . . . Sadly, blogging comments with tax breaks from Kansas City is just another example that I'm right."
ReplyDeleteQuick thought on the TKC theory - you are paranoid and delusional, no different than the birthers who scream government paid shill no matter how much evidence is presented.
Do you really want to be that guy T?
You're just pissed because Julia Irene spent Baseball money on Ballet. Admit it.
ReplyDelete10:58: It's not for the masses because 10:19 doesn't like the symphony, opera, ballet or theater league. And because he doesn't like it, then nobody else can like it either.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeah, tickets -- though a bit pricey -- are certainly cheaper than Chiefs tickets. Guess pro football isn't for the masses either.
12:39... you're absolutely right. i quit going to Chiefs and Royals too because i simply couldn't afford their ever escalating prices. $27 for parking??? in a lot loooong paid for??? to see a team that would have a hard time beating the JAYHAWKS???
ReplyDeleteYou're just pissed because Julia Irene spent Baseball money on Ballet. Admit it.
ReplyDelete------
That's why I'm pissed.
Look at the bright side Tony the value of your basement just quadrupled if not more overnight.
ReplyDeleteFinding it hard to believe that this many people fell for Tony's bait.
ReplyDeleteI guess a majority of his commenter's really are dumbasses.
Just remember, Tony throws up these pinata's all the time. He then starts swingin' hopin' he can hit someone before his donkey breaks open.
What a bunch of rubes!
2:05, you really think you're the only person whose tumbled onto the fact that Tony's only goal is to draw hits to his Web site and turn it into a money maker?
ReplyDeleteAfter eight years Tonys blog is worth $1,768.89 according to blog evaluations. I'm sure that will be enough to retire comfortably on.
ReplyDelete2:35 Just who is it worth that much to? About the only people who benefit from Tony are Alonzo and that real estate lady he refers to every once and awhile.
ReplyDeleteHell, if it weren't for Tony's blog, Alonzo Washington wouldn't have anything to cut and paste on his MySpace page.
ReplyDeleteThe K Center is nice Tony. Give it a chance.
ReplyDeleteHey! I think the Grupo Folklorico are the serving staff from the Mexican restaurant across the street! Si or no?
ReplyDeleteI think Tony is doing this
ReplyDeletewith his blog.
Tony's DTC?
