TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! BIG LAW FIRM MOVE: POLSINELLI SHUGHART SAVE THE PLAZA WEST EDGE!!!
So it looks like they won't have to implode a very EXPENSIVE Plaza building after all . . . Even better . . .
It seems that Polsinelli Shughart saved JOBS on The Plaza and not a bunch of condo dwelling d-bags looking to buy votes on The City Council.
To wit . . .
In a move beyond the old, controversial plans that met with a bit of pushback . . .
POLSINELLI SHUGHART LAW FIRM WILL SAVE THE WEST EDGE!!!
(For the TKC Slow Learners: Yes, they're planning to move in tothe West Edge)
Of course this has been a rumor and appeared in TKC comments for quite some time but AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS tell us that it's "all but confirmed" while The Star is still busy trying to guess about the law firm's willingness to move to the long delayed Mission Gateway Project.
Nope . . . This is a big win for Van Tuyl and a lot of people who hoped for somebody would step up and Save The Plaza in the aftermath of irresponsible real estate speculation and a lingering recession.
About time.
ReplyDeletea good move if true. Thanks POLSINELLI SHUGHART, the Plaza crazies mean well.
ReplyDeleteVery unclear writing. The firm 'saved' the west end? You mean pulled it out of one of the fountains from drowning?
ReplyDeleteBought it?
Sold it?
Financed its finishing?
Bad writing tony. Its always good to write at least one real journalistic sentence in there so everyone knows what you mean!
I had to read it three times to figure you were talking about some company not having to tear down a half built building!!
But is it being finished? Or just delayed from the wrecking ball? What?
Huh?
ReplyDeleteWhat are you saying?
Beth for mayor!
ReplyDeleteI have always heard that if PS went to that site they WOULD have to implode it and start over.
ReplyDeleteI got a mailer today from the pro-development folks advising me to "decline to sign" the "save the historic shopping center" petitions and advising that another special election would cost the city (i.e., the taxpayers) $500K, which certainly is one more good reason not to align with the fruitcake fringe.
ReplyDeleteSo Polsinelli will move into the West Edge. Looks like I win my office pool.
ReplyDeleteSave the jobs is more important than Save the plaza. too bad some people don't realize that.
ReplyDeleteJobs are much more temporary than urban design.
ReplyDeleteI am sure the douchebag 'Save' the Plaza idiots will find a way to eff this up too.
ReplyDeleteLOL.
ReplyDeleteSave Our Plaza is funded by a handful of elitists who don't want any construction going on across the street from their condos. That's about it. They've created this whole BS thing about saving the Plaza when it is really about them being inconvenienced a little. The apartment dwellers across the street didn't complain when the 12 story tower these elitists live in were built.
ReplyDeleteFor you inof 4:20, I dont live in any swanky condo, I live in Brookside so I dont have a dog in the fight about anyone's view except my own view of the Plaza and I support the Save the Plaza campaign to not build any more high rises so close to the Plaza. One you f it up...the charm is lost forever and people should fight day and night to save what is important to us...and yes, people should have done more to top that concrete monstrosity of a tower but better late than never. And yes, PS moving to the West Edge really kills 2 birds with one stone if you will.
ReplyDeleteYou are getting bad tips Tony...they are not moving to the West Edge unless they blow it up and start over. Which is highly doubtful unless they start by this summer (no way).
ReplyDeleteAgain, I don't know why people are complaining about this proposed building. It's the same damn height as the existing apartment complex! And Highwoods is gonna build it whether a law firm is there or not. This whole "save the plaza" campaign is just a waste of time and money.
I posted months ago that this would be the best place for them to move to.
ReplyDeleteI remember. You called it Lucius. That's where they are going. Good for them.
ReplyDeleteI guess this is not true, since it has not yet appeared in the Star ....
