MUST SEE: Kansas City Community Kitchen

Cara Myers directs an AMAZING online video clip entitled "Food For The Soul" that tells a great story.

Check the description:

"The Kansas City Community Kitchen at 8th and Paseo in Kansas City offers a very warm and welcoming setting to Kansas City's hungry and serves thoughtfully prepared, healthy food. Designed by Jennifer Bertrand of Olathe Kansas, winner of HGTV's 2008 Design Star, this community kitchen offers a beautiful setting to all who enter. Look and see what remarkable things the Episcopal Community Services are doing in this place!"

Produced by Cara and co-directed by her friend Anthony Ladesich, the video originally aired on The Local Show on Dec. 23 and was broadcast a few times after on KCPT.

  1. I retract my previous criticism of the Episcopal Church.
I was speaking from my experience with the congregation here in Clarksburg, WV, where they are the only ones who don't have a food pantry & the only ones who won't help the poor.

I was not aware of the good work that they are doing in Kansas City.
Nothing is more important than feeding the hungry. This is real Christianity.

  2. Tony, don't you feel these are just guilty middle-class white people trying to make up for their day-to-day oppression of the needy?

    Sorta like Secret Santa does?

  3. They give a lot more money, time and talent than Secret Santa ever did.

  4. Their effort is year round.
