More than anybody else this year, Mark Lowrey has improved the Kansas City music scene.
This isn't just TKC talking . . . Most local music experts can't help but admire the guy's talent . . .
Plastic Sax gives him a "Person of the Year" award
KC Jazz Lark lists his latest work as one of the best collections of this X-mas season.
By the way, The Live @ Jardine's CD is simply some of the best music I've listened to all year.
But what I like is Lowrey's willingness to mix it up and step out of the comfort zone of any musical genre.
Lowrey rocked out with A Tribute to Radiohead this Summer and then recently collaborated with local hip-hop players for a Black Friday event.
Without question, in 2010 Mark Lowrey has moved Kansas City's music scene forward.
You are dull and boring!
ReplyDeleteHe beat out your boy Reach, huh?
ReplyDeleteI've seen him play a number of sessions. He is very good. His work with Sara Swenson and Shay are two that stand out to me of his "off-side" work.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the hardest working guy in KC music.
no doubt. He's a great performer.
ReplyDeleteHow much would a sponsorship of your site, like how you advertise for jardine's, cost? Does it cost extra to make it look like I am NOT advertising? Kind of like these posts.
ReplyDeleteEverybody likes Lowery, he doesn't need to pay Tony for a sponsorship.
