The silly effort to divide Kansas City continues.
What's becoming abundantly clear is that Latinos in Kansas City are once again going to be without any representation and pretty much screwed over by this process.
It gets worse. The Northland is set to reveal their plans today that represent a rather significant power grab.
Kansas City population estimates for Latinos are a joke . . .
WITH A MASSIVE INFLUX OF LATINOS TO KANSAS CITY AND A BOOMING POPULATION, CITY HALL ESTIMATES THE PAST 10 YEARS HAVE SEEN ONLY A 1% INCREASE IN THE LOCAL LATINO POPULATION!!!
A simple look on the street would prove that estimate wrong. And it's not just the undocumented we're talking about either given that The New York Times reports: 1 in 4 Babies now born in the United States has a Hispanic Mother.
LISTENING TO CITY HALL OFFICIALS ASK "WHAT IS A HISPANIC?" DURING A PLANNING SESSION PROVE THEY'RE UNQUALIFIED TO ESTIMATE POPULATION!!!
Obviously, The Northland Power Play looks like nothing more than some rather serious Gerrymandering. Sadly, I hear that 3rd District/Eastside map is equally clueless.

MOVING FORWARD WITHOUT REAL DATA FROM THE CENSUS IS SIMPLY IRRESPONSIBLE!!!

How can we get an appointment? I've called several times trying to make an appointment and NO ONE will answer the phone. Me and my husband live in Oklahoma, so to make the long drive and have to take off work, we damn well better have an appointment lined up, but what pisses me off is that we CAN' T EVEN MAKE an appointment. I looked all over the net and theres absolutely no way to contact the consulate by email, nor is there a website that i can access for more information. I went to Mexican consulate on monday with my fiance,I had very bad experience. My fiance borne in mexico I born in India.We both want to go to maxico to see her Grand maa,but my fiance has not a passport,so she can't fly she can go by car.we talked to a assistant at the passport window,but she didn't know english at all,and also no body in consulate speak english.I have a very important question what are they doing in an America ? If they don't speak in english.

The concept of one-PERSON-one-vote is what our democracy is based on. The divisiness comes from people like Tony and other hangers-on who have based what little success they've had in their "careers" by constantly whining and defining everything that happens by race.
ReplyDeleteNew flash: People in this county illegally can't vote; and redistricting in KCMO has nothing whatsoever to do with population changes in the US generally.
The population north of the river has increased and that south of the river has gone down. Count the numbers, eliminate racial analysis, draw the lines, and vote!
Tony's view is that race shouldn't matter except whenever he says it does. This blog is getting tiresome in addition to the tips always being from whiners and losers and most of the information being wrong.

And they are CHOOSING to find homes in a number of different communities.
But for some (those who must find SOMETHING to complain about) it's an outrage when districts get designed in a way that reflects this simple reality.

Last summer all we heard about was all of the Hispanics that were messing up the park in Northeast. Now the city council wants to forget about all of those voters until the North of the River Cabal need some votes and then they will be down working the old Demo machine.
