There seems to be a consensus that there's already too heavy of a tax burden in Kansas City.
There are enough taxes disguised as fees.
Police can argue public safety in terms of Red Light Camera support and they deserve respect for their commitment . . . However . . .
In the final analysis Kansas City Politicos made an expensive and potentially money wasting decision to put this Cowtown under surveillance and there needs to be a price for their complicity.
So take note regarding which politicos are coming out in favor of ticketing people on the streets of KC . . . These folks don't have the best interests of working people in mind.
Already there have been a volley of complaints from The Eastside and around 71 which complain about disparity when in comes to Red Light Enforcement. If politicos are going to make more tickets for drivers part of their campaign platform . . . Good luck against local voters who don't think that surveillance equals safety and may not like the priority that politicos give these fees.
