I try not to think about this blog as a public service . . . I'm mostly interested in bikini models. But once in awhile the readers and RATHER AWESOME TIPSTERS to this blog do some good for all of Kansas City.
Earlier this week AWESOME TKC TIPSTERS reported on rioting kept secret on the Plaza.
Now, some rather great follow-up by WDAF reveals that Plaza security is being beefed up thanks to so many dust-ups that mostly went unreported except by vigilant TKC READERS.
Just as a great TKC TIPSTERS NOTED . . . Loitering teens are causing problems.
We wish security good luck in helping keep this town and The Plaza safe and hope that the tricky prospect of policing an open-air mall fairly and equitably is met by the folks in charge.
They need a dress code down there.

ReplyDeleteWhoever posted the racial slurs should be embarrassed. I would hope Kansas Citians would have more class than to stereotype an entire race. I was down on the plaza last night having dinner with friends and all of the teens were dressed appropriately. Think before you type....

They should have acted like this when the Bannister Mall became a hangout for youngsters! But the evil do-gooders of the city needed to snatch the downtown TIFF money from somewhere, so they allowed the Bannister area to fail. As for the asshole that says black culture is subhuman; let's see how subhuman you think we are when we see your ass hanging off the side of a cliff and the only person to stretch out a hand to save you is a black person! Geez -- so this is where all KC's brilliant residents have been hiding! Hasn't history taught us anything? When you try to oppress people and take away basic rights without ever formally acknowledging the wrong this is what you get! The Plaza has been trying to exclude certain people from there for decades. I actually think it is quite genius to give the Plaza exactly what it fears the most to underscore the racist leanings of so many KC attractions. How about this for a solution: take the proper steps to create a venue where young people can safely go doing their free time and strictly deal with the obvious few who are acting out -- what a novel idea!
