Just ran into Mayoral Candidate Sly James, he's on the Plaza with Alvin Brooks and Co. working to prevent Plaza violence . . . Meanwhile, our current Mayor is simply having coffee on The Plaza and doing nothing but taking interviews.
So they are both on the plaza, but only one is helping prevent nothing by being there?
"working to prevent violence". Do you mean telling all the people from his part of town that are coming to the plaza to act responsibly? Being from Brookside, I would say getting coffee and talking to people like you is more than enough from the mayor to show people from brookside how they should act, especially since we have never had problems with brookside residents and mobs.
Do you have any faith in what you do? BEING THE MEDIA. You would probably hate on the mayor if he ran into a burning building and saved a black child.
Met up w Bert Sugar at Plaza restaurant w excellent observation point. Boy is he handsome. Havin a martini and waiting for mayhem to begin before returning to the Leahood enclave.
Bert + I are disappointed and bored as hell. The news trucks by the fountain are desperate enough to interview each other and one or 2 apparent community leaders are hoping for face time but no crowds. Bring us another martini.
Sly on the streets? Whatever for? He's lived nearby for years, but never showed the slightest interest in city issues. Now, with no experience, he is running for mayor. I have to laugh...
9:14.... What has James done for this city... besides sue it and use his MBE status to get legal work that he was insufficiently qualified to get. Then he farmed it out to another firm, but made a nice profit.
He is not a bad guy. But he knows nothing about City operations or civic matters. He's interviewed with some neighborhood leaders, and they have nothing good to say. He is woefully underqualified. And we've seen what that gets us.
Reporting from Ringside. Either a delayed start or postponement tonight.

9:29 shut the fuck up

ReplyDeleteAny nigs shot yet?
ReplyDeleteOf course he is. He can't have violence on the plaza. Its too close to Mission Hills. His next destination.
ReplyDeleteIsn't this exciting? If you don't like Tony, then why do you read his blog?

ReplyDeleteSly on the streets...of the plaza...that's about the only streets he knows.
ReplyDeleteSo, Sly gave $3000 to you to buy your endorsement, Tony?
ReplyDeleteTony is only endorsing anybody but Funk. I think all the people who read the blog know that is obvious.
ReplyDeleteJames has done many things for this city. Some of these comments are just made up or people just simply dont know what they are talking about.
