TKC Reader Feedback!!! Who Cares If "Crime is Down" When Summer Bullets Keep Hitting Kansas City Innocents?!?!?

In light of yet another bullet hitting an innocent person Kansas City, I thought it was appropriate to include a message from an AWESOME TKC TIPSTER on the subject of local violence and the controversial topic of "de-policing" . . . This e-mail from a trusted source contains a great deal of wisdom:
"I mean no disrepect to Chief Corwin, because the "unholy alliance" of the Concerned Clergy Coalition and the city's financial elite make him issue reports like the one he just released about "crime being down"; but it is complete nonsense and he knows it perfectly well. The two types of crime that do not have to be reported are murder and arson because there is physical evidence left behind that a crime has been committed--so, the fact that homicides and arson have increased sharply in KCMO in the past 18 months tell the real story of what is happening: Ordinary citizens are so afraid of the city's surging gangs and criminal elements that they have stopped reporting crimes out of fear of retaliation. This is the typical pattern in other cities where "de-policing" taken place. The only way to stop the ongoing explosion of violence is to take the steps necessary to end this "de-policing"--until the city does that, crime is going to, in all probability, continue to get worse."
The point is simple but profound. The dead bodies on Kansas City streets are the real indicator of how this town's crime situation is going . . . i.e. not well.

A child struck by a bullet last night, tragically, proves this thesis correct:

  • Girl Fights for Her Life after Double Shooting

  • Toddler suffers life-threatening injuries in drive-by shooting

  • Man, Toddler Hurt In Drive-By Shooting

    3. The guy holding the kid chose not to prosecute? Sounds like somebody's worried his own crap would be brought to light. Said it before, will say it again, if you're not involved in drugs or the thug life and don't hang out with someone who is (which unfortunately, sounds like this girl didn't have much of a choice), there's a 99.99999% chance you won't be impacted by violence.

    4. yeah, while you may have a point, what about the other 39 people there? you can't tell me all 39 are in some kind of trouble. where's the kid's Mom? Is she in the same situation? How about Grandma and Grandpa? I'd be kicking that 30 year old's ass for not prosecuting. Clearly I don't get it.

    5. A hungry Rottweiler that Tony was trying to "mess with" probably bit his penis off when he was a little boy. That's why he hates dogs and women! But the poor Rottweiler was just defending itself against being sexually assaulted by little T and his wee wee.

And women, well, they don't want to date a dickless fuckwad. Who can blame them?

    6. That's crap! He 'doesn't want to prosecute'. I thought if it was a felony he didn't have a choice. The prosecutor decides to bring charges....of course, I'm sure the 'no snitching' contingent will make sure the shooter isn't identified....which makes all the non-snitchers accomplices to that poor innocent girl's injuries/possible death!!!

    7. Read Pflow's post. It's amazing. T was rigth.

    8. I don't think a shooting crime is a felony. Someone--naturally, the one shot--has to press charges to initiate.

      ReplyDelete
    9. Actually, I need to rephrase that. Even if it is a felony, there has to be a victim to press charges, to say that the event took place. There has to be an accuser. That's the issue.

    10. no, not really, Pflow.

      ReplyDelete
    11. If no one can say who shot, no officer can have charges pressed.

      ReplyDelete
    12. but someone has to speak for the little girl....that's just crazy!

      ReplyDelete
    13. truly. A child is shot and no one is held accountable? How insane is that?

    14. Has 12:56 got a fixation on biting penises off. Does she own a Rottweiler?
