KICKASS TKC TIPSTERS are amazing and they are the most observant people on the planet.
Recently, a kind soul forwarded me a link which once again reveals that the paper-of-record doesn't have its house in order.
CHECK OUT SOME RATHER NASTY HEALTH VIOLATIONS FROM THE FOOD VENDOR AT THE KANSAS CITY STAR BUILDING ON GRAND!!!
The AWESOME TKC TIPSTER points out that this nasty bit of metro news didn't earn much of a spotlight from The Star in the same way that other local restaurants have had their misdeeds publicized. Still, it's hard not to feel sorry for Star staffers who are facing even more layoffs and are faced with a somewhat nasty dining situation that's kept out of the public record for the most part. The observant tipster writes, "They've had a whole series of health violations. Hopefully The Star hasn't cut employee sick leave yet."
And I think for the Star employees who can't afford to leave the building and have a 3 hour power lunch in a smart business suit like Mary Sanchez . . . This is yet another sign of a local institution it's last legs that is failing its employees on nearly every front.
Interesting.
ReplyDeleteHow do these violations compare with a place like Ponaks?

Who knew they consume so much sushi? It's not like Nara's right around the corner.
ReplyDeletePonak's is cool. I trust them way more than The Star.
