An AWESOME TKC TIPSTER notes yet another local event with a website behind the times. Check it:
"Lifechangers began yesterday and they still have the raging homophobe, Prophet Todd Hall, on the schedule for Sunday despite the fact that this has been reported to them and the City withdrew its $5000 support. They also still have not removed the City's logo from the sponsorship links at the bottom of the site."It's also worth noting that while the City withdrew support from the event there is also a lot of sponsorship from other local institutions.
Media
Hot 103 Jamz
Fox 4
Local Institutions
The Metro
HCA Midwest
The P&L District
Swope Park Health Services
Phillips West PR
So . . . We're not exactly "OneKC" (heh) in fact . . . It seems that there's a bit of big business in bringing what many call homophobia.
For what it's worth, FOX4 claims that it is not sponsoring the event. When I pointed out that their logo was shown on the site as a sponsor, this is the response I got on gwcr.com:
ReplyDelete"quite a few of the logos listed are people they contacted to be "sponsors" who either signed on and then pulled sponsorship or who just agreed to be involved, but as time has progressed have greatly reduced their involvement..."
I wonder just how hard these non-sponors have worked to contact Life Changers about getting their logos off the site as sponsors?
It's a shame we even allow this kind of hate to come into our city.
ReplyDelete"...They also still have not removed the City's logo from the sponsorship links at the bottom of the site..."
ReplyDeleteHmm. Maybe if Lifechangers asked Dear Leader for some of that $18 million he's using to re-design his web site, they could manage to hire some competent I.T. & update.
Oh, well. In the meantime, the city council & TKC should really seek some decent therapy for their raging cases of religious bigotry.
You're all over the place LOCO.
ReplyDeleteOne speaker may have said some anti-gay things from his pulpit but the even is not about homosexuality or trying changing anyone's sexual orientation.
