TKC EXCLUSIVE!!! PREPARE FOR YET ANOTHER KANSAS CITY RACIAL DEBATE ON THE SUBJECT OF THE CITADEL PLAZA CASH GIVEAWAY!!!

Once again . . . I think this is a situation where only The Power of the Internets can stop some major taxpayer waste.

Get it straight . . . I'm all for Development on the Eastside if it's going to work. Citadel is a dump right now and I think some cash needs to be put into beautifying the area maybe with a park or a few trees.

BUT THE CURRENT $20.5 MILLION TAXPAYER GIVEAWAY ISN'T GOING TO HELP THE COMMUNITY!!! IT WILL ONLY ENRICH DEVELOPERS!!!

So . . . Even though TKC breaks a lot of news, this blog isn't journalism . . . It's merely awesome . . . And therefore I don't mind breaking the 4th wall and encouraging people to make their opinion known to their elected officials.

Furthermore . . . I KNOW that Council people and the Mayor are constantly checking (and lying) about their e-mails so a quick note sent the way of elected officials in KC voicing opinion AGAINST the Citadel Plaza Giveaway might make a world of difference because . . .

TKC KNOWS THAT DEVELOPERS AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES ARE QUICKLY RALLYING PHONY SUPPORT OF THE PROJECT FROM PEOPLE ON THEIR PAYROLL!!!

Yes, this is going to be yet another local racial issue, yes taxpayer concerns and the efficacy of the project won't be considered and local media along with Northland council people might once again be outmaneuvered because of their lack of diversity and knowledge about the minority community.

We hear that Mayor Funky isn't really on the fence about this whole thing and he might very well support the money wasting project in the same way he used a lame excuse to back the Soccer Stadium Super-TIF.

Meanwhile, people who care about Kansas City resources benefiting the community and not developers are once again without leadership and somebody who can form a consensus regarding those concerns.
