Ramsey is Kansas City's best video blogger . . . He's also talented in all forms of media.
He recently posted some engagement photos that were technically brilliant but pissed me off horribly.
See, the whole idea of "engagement photos" is why I'm living alone, angry and bitter in my mother's basement.
I have no idea of what kind of a dude would agree to that kind of thing but it's a person I don't have anything in common with . . . Sadly, even in my best relationships . . . The broad has always been somewhat afraid of me.
And I wouldn't have it any other way.
I don't know if the differences are race or class based and I don't care . . . What I do know is that these technically brilliant photos reminded me that local parks will be full of young couples taking wedding and engagement photos and in less than 3 years from that point a great many of them won't be together or would have already cheated on one another.
Looks like they will enjoy a happy life (3-4 years at least) of shopping for fashion jeans together.

ReplyDeletetypical crap. ramsey sucks
ReplyDeleteTony's thing is to elevate crap as long as it's done by amateurs, because that's what he is. Vice versa, If it's done by professionals he hates it no matter the quality. The worse everything is, the better Tony looks. Ramsey seems like a nice guy, but no one that knows anything about photography could say there was anything special about these generic shots.
ReplyDeleteI didn't make my husband go through this...what's the point? If you're getting engaged you're probably going to soon spend way too much on a photographer for the wedding.
ReplyDeleteMaybe people should save their money for a 10 15 or 20 year anniversary photo - at least at that point a couple can say they have accomplished something!
Tony, you hopeless romantic! ;)
ReplyDeleteIf it is any consolation, when my wife and I had our engagement photos taken (while not laying on the sidewalk like the crazy kids above), we had just had one of our worst arguments about God only knows what now. We've been married for 28 1/2 years. It can work out, I'm happy to say! Thank you Dr./Mrs. Kansas Watch!
