I was just thinking about the events of the day and the real world implications of Gloria Squitiro as Queen/Co-Mayor of Kansas City.
UPDATE: Since I'm all about freedom of speech, I think I'm going to put the theories of James Surowiecki into action and see if independently minded crowds are not only wise but also funny.
TKC CAPTION CONTEST . . . A big fat link and a photo retouch featuring your quote for anybody with an funny, good, unique or interesting caption for this photo:
C'mon, it'll be fun.
Very nice.
ReplyDeletePerfect actually.
ReplyDeleteHey, I head that only Bill Drummond showed up to defend their cause. Plus one single black guy.
ReplyDeleteNot exactly a call to arms.
I smell a caption contest.
ReplyDeleteHow did all this get so far out of hand. The TV coverage this evening was bizzar. We have so many problems as a city, the Funk should have never allowed this side show to get this far along in production. It has damaged his ability to perform the limited role of mayor. And it is in reality very limited by charter.
ReplyDeleteI worry about the next heavy rain with the sewer back up issue and he is worrying about how to keep his Gloria in the office. The council is distracted from doing its duties.
Gloria, its time to go. It would be the noble thing to just say adios.
Anon 6:46, I had the same thought while watching the news tonight. First the Funky persecution, then the City Manager's contract in court. Both are the direct result of the Funky bunch and their inability to lead. If they spent as much time trying to do the right thing for the city as they do conspiring against all of those people they don't like (developers, the City Manager, Ruth Bates, the Star, Tony), they might be able to make a difference. Sadly, there is neither a noble, nor responsible bone in either of their oddly shaped bodies. They can't take responsibility for any of their actions....it is everyone else's fault.
ReplyDeleteNAME: Kiss my_________________picture of Gloria, Kansas City
ReplyDeleteKansas City.... No shirt, No shoes, no problem!!
ReplyDeleteHey ya, Kansas City! You're going to be paying for all of this for another 24 years!
ReplyDeleteOnly in Kansas City can you find hotties like Cathy Jolly!
ReplyDeleteYou can take this shithole! I'm moving back to West Virginia.
ReplyDeleteAs you can see, Kansas City IS a city that WORKS! For property developers!
ReplyDeleteMy wife will align your chakras if you can bring us a hockey team.
ReplyDeleteI've got the healthiest prostate in town.
ReplyDeleteFuck all of this. My wife stays.
ReplyDeleteHome of Squanto
ReplyDeleteSmells like feet
ReplyDeleteFUCK THESE PEOPLE. My wife rules!
ReplyDeleteHow about "These people are nothing but complainers who don't see the big picture."
ReplyDeleteThat would be more likely.
Wait for Tony to delete this comment.
from Joe miller your nitwit, jackass friend on the 29th floor
ReplyDeleteIf Bill Drummond shows up to speak in support of you I would have to quote that stupid comedian, "There's your sign."
ReplyDeleteFunk's proving to be a total moron.
His wife is a cunt. Go ahead, quote me.
"In a few more months I will finish destroying all of this."
ReplyDeleteCetainly some of the captions cross the line for this being rated a family web page. But great fun reading the proposals. Perhaps Tony will pick a few judges to rate the captions. I suggest the two Funks and cousin Jethro. Or we just let the man himself, TKC, make selection. The French enlightenment is comming back. We peasant (for you Tony, Composinos), have to endure the King and his queen until the revolution. Viva Tony!
ReplyDeleteNote the smile on his face and the confidence in his stance. this photograph has to be prior to the election. He doesn't look that way now. On the TV this evening, he looked worn and tattered. Give us another photo to add the caption. I can't get into this one. I like the game. My vote is for Anan 11:12 for caption winner, so far.
ReplyDelete"This is what I gave up for a fat witch"
ReplyDeleteCaption:
ReplyDeleteWhere in Downtown Kansas City is my new Iphone? Gloria lost hers too. We need your help finding them :)
In Faith, Funk
This is not the black part of town, hence you will note the absence of police cars.
ReplyDelete"My full time volunteer and spiritual advisor says that I can't attend concerts here because the stadium's ass is bigger than her own"
ReplyDeleteNo silly minorities will benefit from this on my watch!
