Oooooooh, this is just embarrassing. The Mayor's regularly scheduled meeting with "Latino Leaders" is really scraping the bottom of the barrel, and Mayor Funky is now forced to invite HIS NEIGHBOR because nobody else wants to show up. Ouch. Admittedly, Joe Arce of the KC Hispanic News is pretty important, but Joe (my old boss) is a really nice guy and and he'll meet with anybody - including TKC. Arce went the meeting but had strong words for the Mayor afterwards: "The bottom line is this is going to have to be a decision that Frances and the mayor have to make," Zeke Amador lost his 4th district bid and failed to get even fewer votes then the pony I backed, but hey that's cool and everybody deserves a shot in politics. Luis Cordova, another good guy was there representing his boss John Fierro . . . Soooooo, the Mayor's divide and conquer strategy isn't really working and the truth is that I've heard from half a dozen people who attended these meetings and the shin digs are pretty useless and just feature the mayor pretending that he's a professor and lecturing the crowd . . . Which is also what he does at most of his "forums" where people are frustrated they can't get in a world edgewise.

Funk has stated his position. Not only can he not change it, he must not change it if he hopes to keep credibility. He has a right to his position. If the Hispanic community chooses to disagree, that's fine and they can boycott him or do whatever they want, but in the end it's their voice that will be lost, not his.
ReplyDeleteFrances Semler should likewise keep her mouth shut from now on. She felt compelled to defend herself and did so. It's time to tend to the roses.
Meanwhile, KC is concerned with issues that have nothing to do with reality. Lucky for me that I live in JoCo.
ReplyDeleteThe Mayor invited his neighbor. Next up in the janitor. After that, I think he's going to go hire those guys on SW Boulevard. They do good work and they don't complain.
ReplyDeleteTwo peas in a bucket. Fuck it. This controversy is getting old.
ReplyDeleteTony better start saving your money for the 2009 Council of "The Race" convention in Miami.
ReplyDeleteIf you drive with 2 buddies you can make it in one day.
How many times has the Council of The Race had it in Kansas City?
Heh, at least he invited someone.
ReplyDeleteI thought all the Mexicans in KC were on the avenue. Isn't it against the law to be mexican and live in Waldo?
ReplyDeleteIs there a law against it? Should there be? Maybe we need to start making laws about where people can shop. I get tired of shopping in the same grocery stores. Making it illegal for me to shop in certain grocery stores would make shopping more challenging for me. I think I'd like that. I get bored easily.
toney why hasnt your mom met wwith the minutemen like she said she would on the radio so far she hasnt returned calls whats she afraid of being shown that she is ia racist and a liar also
ReplyDeleteThats because there isn't any important Latinos ya retard.
ReplyDelete....but did I mention that time i clogged up the toilet at Harrahs?
ReplyDeleteThe Latino coalition of political power has already collected Juan Carlos Rangel's most curious appointment to the ATA, an are a that is totally absent from his curriclum. However, Mr. Rangel si firmly entrenched with the interfaith community through his 12 years with KC-Harmony, and he is a Latino. It whould not surprise that he, or one of his relatives may have sat on the COHO board, been affiliated with LULAC or LA RAZA, or may even work for the enemy's consulate.
ReplyDeleteHere's a trade off. We'll disband the Minutemen if the tan clan will disband the NCLR, MALDEF, MEChA and LULAC. Sound fair?
Lets all get drunk! Fuckit
