In all of this debate over Mayor Funkhouser supporting a member of a vigilante group there's an inaccurate assertion going around that has went unchallenged so far.
The rumor is that Frances Semler is a just some nice woman who wants to plant roses and would like to dabble in KC politics.
This notion is patently false.
Not only did Semler evoke the Minuteman mission statement in the same passage as her duties (heh) on the Parks Boards BUT (more importantly) several e-mails are circulating around KC political circles saying that Semler has been heard uttering bigoted statements at public meetings - that's pretty much the latest rumor that is floating around among KC's political elite.
Here's some information I've received from a very good source (STAND UP TKC TIPSTERS!!!) regarding what was overheard coming out of Semler's mouth (nullus) recently:
Frances walks into a meeting/event earlier, I believe , where A KC COUNCIL WOMAN and a few other notable women are at. Frances is late, and enters acting all frazzled, and says in her mean and derisive toneObviously, this isn't going to be the last horrible thing to come out of her mouth (NARF, NARF!!!) so if prominent KC women aren't willing to go public regarding this comment than eventually she's going to say something even more offensive in public. Why? Because the simple truth is: There are people who oppose illegal immigration and have intelligent and well thought out responses and ideas about the subject . . . And then there's the Minutemen. The Minutemen attract haters, they recruit folks who carry guns because they want to intimidate brown people and their members have went on record openly spewing hateful garbage and rhetoric against Latinos.

I believe she was referring to a grocery line, but I'm not exactly sure.
All the women within earshot were pretty much aghast at her statement, and offended. And the women within earshot are influential. But from what I gather this is typical mean-spirited Frances.
So the story, unfortunately, is far from over. The only thing that's clear is that Mayor Funky still won't keep his word to dismiss Semler over continued bigoted behavior not only because it's been revealed in a few short months that he's not a politico who stands by his promises to his constituents but also simply because he is stubborn AND he's not really in charge of this decision anyway - That responsibility rests on the shoulders (or bare feet) of Gloria Squitiro, the Mayor's wife and genius behind this political controversy that didn't really start over immigration or political favors but emerged because the two batty broads are friends.

Typically, the Hispanic and Latino rhetoric, propaganda and mantras you so often hear will be deliberately obfuscating, duplicitous, hypocritical and dishonest! These groups wage blatant 'in your face' campaigns of disinformation by calling themselves 'immigrant advocacy groups' or 'immigrant-rights groups,' or 'human-rights advocates,' etc. They routinely call legislation that eliminates 'public benefits' for illegal aliens, as "anti-immigrant." You will notice, they NEVER say anti-illegal immigrant. The word 'illegal' is NOT part of their vocabulary! Without fail, they deliberately obfuscate by using the unspecified term of 'immigrants' when we all know that the real issue is ILLEGAL immigrants.
In a new website sponsored by the racist organization called LULAC (League of United Latin America Citizens) a Mexican-American group, called WeAreRacists.com turns out to be aptly named because LULAC, and many other national Hispanic organizations are racists to the core! Ironically, the joke's on them! In their hypocritical racist zeal to attack America's Patriotic Minutemen, they have named a website in complete concordance with their organization's repeatedly announced racist agenda. It is a name that clearly defines exactly who and what they are --RACISTS!

Has anyone else noticed that Francis Semler's participation in the Minutemen has gone from full out organizer to rarely associating to full time organizer to rarely associating to preaching the Minutemen mission statement in her op-ed and pledging to uphold this mission through her position on the parks board? The only thing that lady plants is Neo-Nazi flyers in the Pitch.
It is obvious that Ms Semler is a paranoid woman and also a racist. She called the police when a group of people knocked on her door. And she advocates shooting people crossing the border. Get her off the parks board and put her in a straightjacket!

Do they advocate the opening of all US borders to ALL immigrants, from Europe, Africa elsewhere? Do they object to anyone having to produce any kind of ID when requested by the authorities? Do they wish to admit without hinderance, any adn all terrorists piosing as immigrnats?? If this is the case, I wish they would come out in the open and admit it.
ReplyDeleteDo those threatening Mrs Semler by congreagating outside her house and shouting abuse at her wish immigration to be open to all, or are they simply wanting people from south of the border to be admitted to the exclusion of all others? Do they believe that only 'brown' people as they call them are entitled to freedom of speech and expression, freedom to abuse others? They should make their POV perfectly clear. If they are biased in favor of illegal immigrants, they should admit it, and they should also be honest and refer to their chosen group as ILLEGAL immigrants, and not try to hide behind the cover of legal immigration - i.e. those who obtain green cards before entering. Mrs Semler has been honest, while supporting legal immigration, she does not agree with illegal immigration, and says so openly. She chooses to support a legal organization which attempts to keep track of the numbers of illegals crossing the southern US border, and draw the attention of the border patrol to them. For this, she has been assaulted verbalkly, her home has been attacked, and there is a possibility that she will be attacked physically and possibly even killed. If those who have shown theuir hatred for herr support this course of action they should be honest about it. If they wish to deny her her right to free speech, they should be honest about it. Or do they believe that no one except themselves is entitled to express an opinion. Have the courage of your convictions, tell the world what you really believe and let us be the judges.
ReplyDeleteThe furore in KC over Frances Semler is only a very localized version of what is going on nationwide. While most immigrants, legal and illegal, are content to make their way in the US as countless others have done before them, it seems that there are now a number of those who style themselves spokespeople, who will be content only when the situation of which they are so resentful, i.e. their SELF PERCEIVED second class citizenship, is totally reversed. In other words, they wish to deprive all white European Americans of any rights whatever, including the right of free speech, the right to support any legal organization of their choice. These people wish to turn back the clock, substituting white citizens for those of color as they were prior to the civil rights movement. Their aim is nothing less than a complete reversal of situations, and a total transfer of wealth and assets from all whites to all non-whites. They should have the courage to come out and admit to it. They are, however, hoping to achieve their ambitions by stealth, intimidation and adherence to tenets of PC. I would like to see one leader of the non-white community come out and admit their honest agenda.
ReplyDeleteCould it be that in supporting unreservedly mass illegal immigration from south of the border, La Raza and the NAACP are attempting to achieve their goal of seizing power in the US through sheer weight of numbers. In a decade or so at the present rate of incursion, and with sequential amnesties, the hispanic population will outnumber any other group, and in a 'democracy' that will mean power. At that point there will be no need for the brutal suppression of opposition as in the Frances Semler case. It will simply be a matter of reversing all the civil rights legislation of past years, in order to prevent whites from profiting from it. Whites will then sink into impoverishment, and the ambition of these 'minority rights activists' will have been achieved.

Supposing the situation were reversed, and the millions pouring into the US illegally (i.e. without the correct paper work) were all white Europenas. Would those now advocating and encouraging the huge numbers of illegals, and condemning those who express reservations on the subject as 'racist'join in the chorus of condemnation? And if so, what does that make them? Is their POV,as they state it is, based solely upon the color of the skins of those entering across the Rio Grande? If they objected to vast numbers of white people immigrating to the US, would that make them racist/bigoted?? Seems so, but then they will never admit it!
