Yet another group bitchslaps Mayor Funky!

Here's my alternate headline:

KC Convention and Visitors Association to Mayor Funky: Stop being so stubborn and take care of business!!!

And this one is really bad for the Mayor as even more groups begin to realize that his complete lack of political acumen is putting Kansas City's finances and future in bad shape.

The Kansas City Convention and Visitors Association will fire two salvos at Mayor Mark Funkhouser before week’s end, seeking to avert a crisis in the local tourism industry.

The city-financed agency’s board on Tuesday voted unanimously to authorize Chairman Bill George to draft and deliver the letters, the first urging the mayor to resolve the Frances Semler controversy diplomatically — and quickly — before the city’s reputation is indelibly tainted.

The second letter will urge Funkhouser to back off his opposition to tax breaks and tightly focus such breaks to attract a 1,000-room hotel downtown.

The thing is, I can only see this thing getting worse or at least endlessly lingering and crippling the Mayor's administration (IF the the opponents of this fringe, vigilante group can play it properly) . . . What happens when La Raza doesn't show up? Other than millions of dollars of revenue gone from KC? What about the NAACP? Millions more. And the oldest and largest Black Fraternity- Alpha Phi Alpha? And the National Hispanic Chamber of Commerce?

Can you see where this is headed?

Meanwhile, the talk of the Mayor's "principles" is pathetic.

What principle is Mayor Funky clinging to other than standing by the stupid mistakes of his wife?

TELL THAT BITCH TO PUT HER SHOES ON GET OUT OF CITY HALL!!!

There, I finally wrote it and now I feel better. If the very awesome Perez Hilton can call a celeb a whore then I think I'm well within my rights and the boundaries of good taste given that even Funky's supporters are saying as much (under their breath).

It's now or never and SERIOUSLY risking a recall in a few short months. The media knows that this story means READERS and VIEWERS so there is no way they're going to let it drop. EVERYBODY with something to say on this topic is going to get some time in front of the mic . . .

IT'S A FEEDING FRENZY THAT THE BARELY ELECTED MAYOR FUNKY JUST CAN'T HANDLE!!!

And the Minuteman supporters and talk radio callers can't help him on this one because they DON'T LIVE OR VOTE IN KANSAS CITY PROPER.

So Mayor Funky has a choice . . . He can fix it (accept her resignation like he should have done in the first place) or face a Mayoral tenure that was hobbled by the fact that he couldn't stand up to his wife or some old woman . . . And that's really the funniest thing about all of this.
