TKC banned in Johnson County

Sorry if this blog is publishing way too many self-referential posts but I'm feeling lazy today and I thought this was funny. Many thanks to a tipster who sent me the following:

I found this morning that TKC.com was blocked by the (JoCo) library's filtering system under the reason of "pornography".

Nice! And I thought it was obscene that so many white people live in one spot and try and kid themselves into the fact that at least one of the reasons isn't to avoid the minorities people of color good dancers darkies.

Anyway, since rumor has it among all the brown people in KC proper that white welfare ensures that every Caucasian in JoCo is awarded a car, Ipod, and a laptop with a free roaming, high speed, satellite Internet connection I guess this isn't a big deal. Also, I've found that white people are always in need of a little abuse and so many people hit this blog from the Golden Ghetto despite what a few librarians don't want them to see. Sooooooooooooooo, thank you people of JoCo for visiting me even though I'm really not that well spoken and there's little chance that I'll bus one of your tables anytime soon.

That's all I'm gonna post this weekend because I'm lazy . . . That hasn't changed for more than 20 years but . . . Nevermind. Thanks for reading this week folks. Have a fun and safe Saturday Night. Give your mother a kiss for me.

  1. You are persecuted. Maybe if you provided any kind of useful service whatsoever I might give a shit.

  3. dude said "useful", didn't you hear?

his mom has clearly gotten so much service over the years that Tonys additional services are like washing the hubcaps on a car whose tire treads have been glass smooth since '83.

  4. My blog (called evolution -- you already know that but not everyone does and it's central to the joke) was banned in the school district I taught at.

The reason? It was a "religious" site.

    Go figure.

  6. Tony, how did today's Star article about the Johnson County Library's plan to set up a suburban cultural site get under your radar? I just logged in here to see your take on it.

  7. Wait a minute...where's my iPod? Shit, I must've been stuck at work here in KCMO the day they handed them out to us JoCo-ians.

It's always been interesting to me what lands a blog on the banning list...the company I used to work at banned "Put Down the Donut" for some random reason, even though it's a weight loss site. I figured that perhaps the tech people had some vendetta against donuts, or something. I really never could figure that out.

Where you at, man? On vacation? Please come back and give me some headlines soon!!
