"Leach, who is Black"

With more wit, insight and attitude I brought you the story of UMKC's embattled Student government President Marcus Leach weeks ago. Today, the Star decides to follow my lead and does a follow up on the controversy. Allegedly, a couple of College Republicans er, dirtbags Student Government leaders might have made a move to impeach Leach (no poet) because he was/is Black. Although it's probably just because he was "uppity" . . . a far worse offense.
Kevin Lujin, the senate president pro tem, who is a leader of the impeachment effort, said Wednesday night that suggestions of racial motives were, "absolutely untrue. It is about making sure both executives fulfill their duties."

Earlier Wednesday, Lujin said: "In the eyes of the Senate, neither one of them were doing their job. I think the Senate was worried that the operating account was being used to grant political favors."

University administrators said they had seen no evidence of favoritism by Leach or his executive board.
According to the story, Leach received overwhelming support from the Student Body but you have to consider that these are people who couldn't get into a real college and most of them would support any ridiculous cause if it included a free t-shirt.

Still, maybe Leach and all of the other UMKC brats can learn an important lesson from this: Racial politics are tough to it's best to align yourself with a Black person and let them deflect criticism as you slide by on your father's hard work while other people make all the important decisions and shoot all the important people.

P.S. - Save Marcus!
